Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy can be an effective way to treat people with neurological conditions, often in combination with other rehabilitative techniques. Many people with neurological conditions are able to perform activities in the water that they are unable to perform as on dry land, which means they feel a greater freedom of movement when in the pool.
Hydrotherapy can increase strength, reduce muscle spasm and be a very enjoyable means of exercise for many people.

Your Local Pool
ARC’s team of neurological physiotherapists frequently conduct sessions with clients at their local swimming pools. We are able to scope access and facilities to ensure we are able to use the pool safely and effectively and meet the needs of our clients.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Hydrotherapy Group

The MS group program is run both as a gym land based program as well as a hydrotherapy pool program at a site less than 1km away from the ARC clinic. Our small group is lead by an experienced neurological physiotherapist and each circuit based exercise is tailored to you. Enjoy the support and encouragement of others with MS in the group and receive education and tips of how to manage your condition.
